Historical
. In 1950 Antoine Chabanne founded the company called Chabanne in a workshop in Saint Galmier. The small company manufactured clothes pegs (wooden arms and spring), ceiling hooks, then bucket handles.
. In 1963 Antoine Chabanne commissioned the building of a 1500 sq. m. factory on the Route de Cuzieu in Saint Galmier. Established as a public limited company, it employed a staff of 12 people. It continued to grow in this location until 1987 when it employed a staff of 40. Its growth was regular and controlled.

. Manufacturing developed in three directions:
1. Having produced brick hooks, in the 1960s the company began to manufacture expanded and perforated angle beads for plasterers, tile hooks, hooks for metal rail-mounted suspended ceilings, then ribbed and expanded metal lathing as a support for plaster rendering.
2. Handles for buckets and various items used in packaging and household appliances.
3. Variously shaped component parts for items used in the automobile, home appliances, public lighting, electrical equipment and leisure industries, etc.

. In 1987 the head office, along with the full manufacturing unit for metal cables moved to a new factory on the Route de Rivas in the commune of Chamboeuf. Only the manufacturing units for roll forming galvanized sheets for the building industry remained in the Route de Cuzieu workshops. This sector was then considerably developed.
. In 1992 the management decided to implement a quality system and drafted the first Quality Assurance Manual, as well as a certain amount of procedures complying with the standard ISO 9002: 1987, in an effort to improve the company's ability to provide products that complied in every way with the needs and expectations of our customers and thus increase their level of satisfaction.
. Chabanne has completed its stock of high-performance mechanical machines with the most advanced digitally controlled bending machines on the market. It has also equipped its CEO subsidiary with a digitally controlled bending machine, digital lathe and CAD centre.

. Since then the quality system has continued to develop into today's Quality Management System, in compliance with ISO 9001: 2000.
. Chabanne was certified for the Industry division on October 17, 2003. This certification was extended to the Construction division on October 25, 2004.
